Mohammed VI Foundation Donates Ramadan Package To 100 Families

As part of it’s social responsibility to humanity, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Oulema – Ghana Branch has donated Ramadan package to section of the Muslim communities in Accra.

The Items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis include 25 kilograms of rice, Two litres of cooking oil, Tea bags, tomato paste, sugar, milk and cash.

Each beneficiary received each of the above mentioned item’s which is part of the annual Ramadan gift from the Foundation.

In all, 100 families in the Muslim communities in Accra benefited from the benevolence of the Foundation for the month-long Ramadan in fulfillment of one of the pillars of the religion.

The short ceremony to distribute the items was witnessed by the President of Ghana branch of the Foundation, Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim, representatives of the Moroccan Embassy among other prominent members of the Muslim communities.

Presenting the items, Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim stated that the month of Ramadan was to strengthen ones faith in doing good and supporting the needy.

He said Ramadan is also dedicated to embodying the spirit of togetherness and sharing the little one has with others.

These, according to him are practices of the Holy Prophet urging all Muslims around the world to imitate the deeds of prophet Mohammad.

He revealed that the Mohammed VI Foundation for Africa Oulema- Ghana branch, was established in 2015 with the support of King of Morocco, Mo­hammed VI, to unify and coordi­nate efforts of all Muslim Scholars from across the African continent in order to promote peace and religious tolerance.

Sheikh Ibrahim added that the Foundation has also donated similar items to 45 countries in Africa and expressed gratitude to the King and the government of Morocco for their annual support to Ghanaians.
