Eid al-Fitr: Eze Igbo Ghana Sends Goodwill Message To Muslims, Congratulates Chief Imam

The King of Igbo community in Ghana, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has sent messages of goodwill to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitri celebration.
He urged Muslims to used the this year’s celebration to pray for continue peaceful co-existence between Ghana and Nigeria.
He congratulated the National Chief Imam for his efforts in ensuring peace among other religions and fostering unity among Christians and Muslims in Ghana.
He described the National Chief Imam as a dedicated man of God and a true servant of Islam whose unifying force has lifted the image of Ghana to the world in terms of religious tolerance and interfaith promotion.
The Igbo diaspora King in Ghana, stated that the Imam has over the years worked tirelessly to foster peace and harmony among diverse communities in Ghana and beyond.
He added that deeds of Sheikh Osumanu Nuhu Sharubutu especially his wisdom, humility, and peaceful nature has inspired other Muslims and non-muslims to follow suit which has brought lasting peace between all the religious faith in Ghana.
Dr. Amb. Ihenetu used the opportunity to called on the Muslim youth to focus on business opportunities and ensure they partner with one another for a brighter future.
He emphasized the need for the youth to create a better business environment for themselves no matter how small amount of money they have.
He said Ghana and Nigeria have strong historical, cultural and economic ties between the two sister countries therefore Ghanaians should not allow anyone to sow seed of disunity among them.
He called on Nigerians in Ghana to live harmoniously with Ghanaians to safeguard the peace among the two countries.
He further urged Nigerians to protect the peace they are enjoying in Ghana through tolerance, cooperation, and coexistence to sustain Ghana and Nigeria identity as one people.
