Sheikh Maiga urges President Mahama to Embrace Islam

In a recent address, prominent Islamic cleric Sheikh Abdul Malik Maiga urged the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, to consider embracing Islam as a way to deepen his spiritual connection with Allah and to continue benefiting from divine favor.

Sheikh Maiga highlighted President Mahama’s remarkable political journey, tracing his rise from an assemblyman and Member of Parliament for Bole, to Deputy Minister for Communication, then Minister for Communication, Vice President, and ultimately President of Ghana.

The cleric emphasized that the President’s ascent to power was nothing short of divine intervention, noting that he became President without a traditional electoral vote, a circumstance he described as a sign of Allah’s special favor.

“Allah has truly shown His mercy and favor upon President Mahama,” Sheikh Maiga stated. “His political trajectory and the circumstances of his rise are a testament to divine intervention. It is only fitting that, to continue enjoying this divine favor, he considers embracing Islam.”

The cleric expressed hope for a future where the President would officially convert to Islam, viewing it as a spiritual step that would align him more closely with divine blessings.

Sheikh Maiga also called on all Ghanaians to pray for this transformation, envisioning a Ghana where the nation’s leaders uphold the virtues of faith and spirituality.

This appeal has sparked widespread discussion among the public and religious communities, with many reflecting on the significance of faith in leadership and the role of divine guidance in national affairs.

As Ghana marks its Republic Day with a day of prayer, Sheikh Maiga’s call adds a spiritual dimension to the nation’s ongoing journey, emphasizing the importance of faith and divine favor in the lives of its leaders and citizens alike.
