Film Directors Guild embarks on Series of Virtual Workshops
The Greater Accra Regional Branch – The Film Director’s Guild of Ghana is embarking on a series of virtual workshops aimed at breaking apart pertinent issues plaguing the Ghana film industry and, consequently, seeking solutions.
The workshops will incorporate panel discussions, mentoring sessions, and interviews with resource persons from Ghana and other film industries.
The virtual event began July 24th with the theme Directing Actors- Creating Memorable Performances for Film/TV. Panelists included filmmaker Peter Sedufia, actor Adjetey Annang, and Ghanaian American filmmaker Leila Djansi.
The 2-hour informative panel was hosted by On-air personality and filmmaker, Ama Ablorde.
On Thursday, August 6th, 2020, the guild will host a slew of panelists on the theme Creating a Sustainable Film Industry in Ghana, Challenges for Industry, and Government.
Panelists will include newly minted National Film Authority presents Mr. David Dontoh with special guest Lindsay Lanzillotta, head of Hollywood Distribution outfit The Film Arcades Carousel.
