McDan Wins The Most Influential Business Leader Of The Year Award

Chairman of McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley has been adjudged the Most Influential Business Leader of the Year, 2023 and the 8th Global Business Brands Summit and Awards.

The Global Business Quality is an awards and business breakfast summit networking event designed to promote premium quality and most valuable global brands in Ghana that have met the standard of premium quality for decades.

The event was held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel, themed “Reigniting Business and Economic Growth: Charting a Path Forward; Economic Diversification and Artificial Intelligence Transformation. A Private-Public Sector CEO Dialogue & High Impact-Learn.”

The annual event attracted over 500 top CEOs, heads of state, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers from West Africa and around the world.

Receiving the award, McDan said, “If you have some insight into my journey, you’d understand that establishing numerous multinational businesses across Africa has been anything but simple. It’s been a path filled with unexpected twists and turns—the highest of highs, but also the lowest of lows. This is why being honoured with the “Most Influential Business Leader of the Year” award is incredibly meaningful to me, as it encapsulates my 25+ years of guiding McDan Group through numerous challenges, including the pandemic, and emerging stronger than ever today.”

In his address, the Chief Executive Officer of the CEO Network Ghana, Ernest De-Graft Egyir, emphasised the importance of collaboration between Ghana’s private and public sectors in adapting to a rapidly changing global environment.

He said that economic diversification is vital for resilience and sustained growth while leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers unprecedented opportunities for innovation and efficiency.

Mr Egyir underscored the need for dialogue between CEOs from both sectors to foster strategic partnerships and actionable insights for Ghana’s economic resurgence in the digital age.
