Angel Smile Foundation Donates BP Cuffs To La Polyclinic, Korle-bu Teaching Hospital

A non-governmental organization (NGO), Angel smile foundation has donated boxes of Blood Pressure Cuffs to the La PolyClinic and the Korle-bu Teaching Hospitals respectively.

The donation according to the organization, was to celebrate this year’s Homowo festival with the Nurses by providing them lunch and the BP Cuffs to improve the quality of service rendered to patients who depend on the facilities for health care services.

The La Polyclinic received a donation of 37 boxes of the disposable BP Cuffs with each box containing 120 pieces.

The National Cardio Centre, Child Health Department of the hospital also received 37 boxes each whilst the Maternity Ward had 39 boxes.

The disposable BP Cuffs are use to tighten the arms of patients and connected with Digital monitors for measuring blood pressure.

Madam Iris Quarshie, a representative of the foundation, reiterated that the donation was to extend Homowo New Year’s wishes to the nurses, and patients and to acknowledge the exceptional dedication of the healthcare staff over the past year.

She emphasized that the foundation’s mission focuses on supporting orphans, teenage mothers, and individuals in need, particularly those who have been abused and lost the opportunity to regain control of their lives.

The coordinator of Angel Smile Foundation, Asafoatse Aboabone Kwei Dzan Mansah III, said the donation was a widow’s mite from the foundation.

The founder of the organization who doubles as the La Dzarase development Queen Mother, Naa Ofamota Otsejen I said the donation was to aid quality health delivery at the hospitals.

He said one of the major aims of the Naa Ofamota Otsejen I aside her support to orphans is to ensure quality health delivery in the hospitals hence her efforts in constantly donating to the various hospitals in the country.

He said the Dzarase Development Queen Mother has pledged her continuous support to Doctors and nures to encourage them to work their hearts out in the delivery of quality healthcare to patients.

He said Homowo attracts people from other parts of the country and the world, and therefore called on Gas to ensure peace and togetherness in celebrating this year’s Homowo.

The foundation also urged the youth not to allow themselves to be use by any political party to foment trouble before, during and after the election.

The beneficiary hospitals which includes La Polyclinic and Korle-bu Teaching Hospital applauded the foundation for the donation, and gave the assurance that the hospital will make use of the BP Cuffs.

According to them, the use of BP cuffs are important to the hospital because everyone who visits the hospital will have his or her Blood Pressure checked before treatment.

They called on other organizations to support the hospital’s vision of enhancing and delivering quality healthcare services to Ghanaians.
