NDC to Capture Awutu Senya East Seat – Mosquito

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has expressed confidence that the party’s Parliamentary candidate, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, will win the Awutu Senya East for the party in the upcoming election.

Speaking at a community program in the constituency as part of his Central Region tour, Asiedu Nketia praised Naa Koryoo, likening her to the late Nelson Mandela, who was imprisoned and later became South Africa’s President.

He assured the people of Awutu Senya East that the detention of Naa Koryoo will turn in to blessing come December 7.

Phillis Naa Koryoo thanked the delegation for their visit and assured them that she, as leader and candidate, would ensure a convincing victory for both herself and former President John Dramani Mahama (JDM).

Present at the program were national, regional, constituency, and branch executives.

In a related development, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunnor has filed her nomination forms with the Electoral Commission to wrestle power from the incumbent MP Hon. Hawa Koomson.

Naa Koryoo was accompanied by constituency executives and supporters of the party as well as some sympathizers of the party in Awutu Senya East.

The NDC Parliamentary candidate expressed her optimism of winning the seat for the NDC, assuring the people that she will work hand in hand with the constituents to ensure a deserving victory for the former President John Dramani Mahama come December 7.

She assured that the NDC in the constituency will embark on a peaceful campaign to ensure a peaceful election and called on Ghanaians to vote for change.

She added that the policies of the NDC will redeem Ghana from the economic mess created by the NPP.
