In a bid to secure a second term, Teddy Safori Addi, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ayensuano, officially launched his 2024 campaign.
During the launch event, which saw a significant turnout of party members and community leaders, Addi expressed gratitude to the Ayensuano constituency, branch executives, ward executives, and opinion leaders for their unwavering support throughout his first term.
Reflecting on his time in office, Addi said, “It’s not too long ago that Ayensuano gave me the opportunity to serve them. My first four years were beneficial to the people, and I served them to the best of my abilities. My next four years ahead will be even better, and I’m committed to seeing Ayensuano grow.”
Despite the challenges of serving in opposition, Addi emphasized his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents, particularly in the area of infrastructure.
“Our number one issue is our roads. I’ve travelled across the constituency and appealed to the government for support. The DRIP Project is in our constituency, and by God’s grace, these road problems will be resolved.”
Addi also highlighted his contributions to addressing basic necessities in the area, particularly in water and education.
Some constituency executives of the party noted the construction of boreholes in communities such as Teacher Mante, Tsitsiwere, Mensah Krom, Auboye, Amanase, New Town, and La Mangoase, as well as the building of a six-unit classroom block in Mensah Krom as some of his achievements.
He reassured the constituency that while he cannot do everything, more development is achievable with John Mahama as President and himself as MP.
“Though I cannot do it all, with Mahama as President and myself as MP, a lot can be done for Ayensuano,” Addi concluded.
As the campaign heats up, Addi’s focus remains on tackling key issues like road infrastructure and education while urging voters to rally behind him and the NDC for a brighter future in Ayensuano.
