Adjiringano lands Saga: Akwraboye Doku Family Grants Power of Attorney to Yaw Mireku
The Akwraboye Doku Family of Teshie, Accra in the Greater Accra Region has granted Power of Attorney to Allied Rocks Company Limited a limited liability company, acting by its Managing Director Mr. Yaw Mireku to be the family’s Attorney.
The decision was taken on 13 day of April, 2017 by Akwraboye Doku Family of Teshie, acting by its Head and Lawful Representative Nii Samuel Adjei Mensah Shia.
According to the Family, Mr. Yaw Mireku was given the Power of Attorney for the purpose of the Power of Attorney Act 1998 (Act 549) with authority on the Family’s behalf to secure, control and manage or otherwise deal with all the Family’s interest in all that piece and parcel of land situate in Ghana particularly the land situates and lying Otanor, East Legon, Accra pursuant to an Agreement duly executed between the Principal and the Attorney.
“The Attorney has the authority and on behalf of the Family on such terms and conditions as seem fit and expedient to do to assign or execute in the name of the Family and on by its behalf any contract other than one which seeks to transfer interest in land, other instrument whatsoever necessary for the exercise of powers in relation to the Interest and engage or commission any legal Counsel, Contractor, advisor or agent agreeing their terms of agreement and paying their services and bring or defend any legal action or other proceedings in respect of the functions oof the Second Party in the executed Agreement and do anything else reasonably necessary so that the purpose can be achieved as effectively and efficiently as if the Family had done so by itself.”
According to the Family, the Power of Attorney shall remain in force until revoked by the Family in writing.
The Family also pointed out that it has the right to ratify whatsoever the Attorney shall do under the authority of the Power of Attorney.
