This initiative aligns with our national agenda to boost local economies, create jobs, and improve living standards. The government stands firmly behind this vision and will provide the necessary support to ensure its success,” stated Mireku Duker.
The industrialization plan encompasses several key projects:
Infrastructure Development: Significant investments in upgrading local infrastructure, including roads, water supply, and electricity, to support industrial activities and improve residents’ quality of life.
Manufacturing and Processing Plants: Establishment of manufacturing and processing facilities to add value to local raw materials, particularly in the salt and related industries, thereby creating employment opportunities and stimulating economic growth.
Training and Capacity Building: Implementation of training programs to equip local residents with the skills needed to participate in and benefit from the industrialization efforts. This includes partnerships with educational institutions and vocational training centers.
Community Development Initiatives: Projects aimed at enhancing healthcare, education, and social amenities in Ada and Sege, ensuring that the benefits of industrialization are widely shared among the local population.
