Igbo Chief In Ghana Congratulates COP Yohuno On His Appointment As Dep. IGP
The King of Igbo Community in Ghana, HRM. Dr. AMB. Chukwudi Ihenetu has congratulated the Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno on his appointment as the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations of the Ghana Police Service.
According to him, Yohuno’s new position is well deserved and a welcome news to all Ghanaians adding that his appointment has been received with delight and conviction as his contribution to the Ghana Police Service is overwhelming.
Dr. Ihenetu called on the newly appointed Deputy IGP to show great leadership, wisdom and integrity to help his boss the IGP Dr. George Akufo Dampare to strive and take Ghana Police service to greater heights and achievements.
He revealed that COP Tetteh Yuhonu,s enviable experience in the Service will contribute massively to maintaining Law and Order before, during and after the upcoming general elections.
HRM. Dr. AMB. Chukwudi Ihenetu commended the President for appointing (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the Deputy IGP in Charge of Operations to partner the IGP to ensure peace and order in the country.
He said COP Yuhonu is an effective and efficient officer whose passion and service to the Ghana Police Service have been nothing short of outstanding and hardworking.
President Akufo-Addo last week appointed Commissioner of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations.
The Presidency in a press statement stated that the appointment followed the advice of the Police Council during its meeting held on Wednesday, July 17, where COP Yohuno’s exceptional credentials and dedication to duty were acknowledged.
The statement by the Jubilee House Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, also described the Commissioner as a distinguished law enforcement officer with a career spanning over three decades who has held key positions within the Service.
President Akufo-Addo extended his congratulations to COP Yohuno on his well-deserved appointment and wished him the very best in the discharge of his duties.
