Police Hunts For Titus Glover’s Nephew, Thugs For Beating NPP Members Over Poor COVID-19 Food
A nephew of the Tema East MP Titus Glover, is being wanted by the Tema community One police in Tema for allegedly ordering an attack on two persons at Site 10 a suburb of Tema.
According to reports, the suspect Kwarteye Glover together with some NPP party executives in the Tema East Constituency, on the late hours of Monday the 13th of April 2020 assaulted the two persons on the grounds denigrating the image of his nephew the MP for Tema East.
The suspect Kwarteye Glover, is reported to have ordered some party Boys to pounce on the victims for allegedly uploading a video on Facebook to make mockery of the COVID-19 lockdown food being shared by the MP in the Consititency.
Narrating their ordeal to the media, one of the victims with his police medical form, Sylvester Ankrah, said he was at his tailoring shop, when he was informed that the MP for Tema East, Titus Glover wanted to speak to him.
He said to his outer surprise he rather met the presence of the nephew (suspect) of the MP with some party boys when he repsonded to the invitation.
He said after some banter of words with the suspect on the allegation of tarnishing the image of the MP, the nephew of the MP together with his boys pounced on him and gave him the beating of his life.
” When I got to the scene, the nephew of our MP Kwarteye Glover together with some party boys started heckling me for uploading a video macking mockery of our MP, in a bid to defend myself, I was assaulted by the MP’s nephew together with a party executive member in the person of Shadow, Sylvester narrated”.
Oku Julius one of the victims who rushed to the scene to rescue his friend, was equally given his share of beatings, leaving him with bruises on the hands and legs.
Mother of the first victim, Stella Ankrah, who out of shock rushed to the scene to save her son, also sustained some injuries on her hand.
The suspects whose whereabout is currently unknown, are yet to respond to the allegations levelled against them.
Meanwhile the latest assault from the camp of the Tema East MP on individuals perceived to be supporters of one Dr Benjamin Ashitey the main contender for the Tema East NPP Parliamentary slot, brings to two in a spate of one month with the first being some party loyalists who allegedly assaulted, on the orders of the MP, for defacing his posters in town.
