POLICE STILL MANHUNTING FOR AMIN YUSSIF OVER ALLEGED MURDER
The Ghana Police Command is still on the heels of Muhammed Amin Yussif over alleged murder of his Christian girlfriend Ester Kwarteng.
The manhunt by the Ghana Police Service, this portal gathered follows a request by the family of the deceased to reopen a docket brought to them in 2015 to continue investigation into the alleged murder of their daughter at a time and the suspected murderer is no where to be found till date.
In a statement giving to the Zongo Police Division in Kumasi the capital of the Ashanti Region, Mr. Kwateng stated that
the suspect, Muhammed Amin Yussif was once a “boyfriend” of their daughter Esther whom they never approved of their relationship due to the faith he the suspect belongs to (Islam).
Mr. Kwateng added that, despite several warning to separate the relationship between her daughter and the suspect, they still went ahead to see each other, until March 7, 2015 when they suspected that their daughter was pregnant.
Upon interrogation their daughter reveals that the pregnancy was for her boyfriend Muhammed Amin Yusif, thereafter, their daughter disappear for three days without knowing her whereabouts.
On March 12, 2015 Mr. Kwateng and the wife revealed in the police statement that their daughter was found dead in a pull of blood at her friends house at Awodwo a suburb of kumasi.
This according to him, the family suspect that their daughter was murdered by her Muslim boyfriend Muhammed Amin Yussif.
Forensic reports indicated she had taken an overdose of pills to abort the pregnancy and she suffered complications and died as a results. The deceased parent not satisfied asked that the police should interrogate the boyfriend, since 2015 when the police issued arrest warrant on him , he has not been seen or heard from as he has been declare wanted.
This the parent are still calling for his arrest so that justice is served.
Her friend Belinda denied having knowledge about her intent to abort the pregnancy, since she was away in school at cape coast when her friend call her that she wants to come and stay for a while since her boyfriend was attending his Aunty’s funeral in Accra .
According to sources, Muhammed Amin Yussif took his heels over the shock of the sudden demise and that of him being wanted for crime he new nothing about.
This compel him to disappear till now as the police could not trace his whereabouts.
