Rap Up To Hajj 2019… Pilgrims Hail Hajj Board

The Ghana Hajj Board under the leadership of Sheikh I.C Quaye has been highly commended by all the stakeholders of Hajj and pilgrims for a massive improvement in the 2019 Hajj operations.

According to the pilgrims’ this year’s hajj is one of the best ever in the history of hajj operations in Ghana.

The pilgrims’ made this known when this reporter went round to solicit views and opinions of pilgrims to ascertain wether or not this year’s hajj has been successful as purported by the stakeholders of Hajj operations and Muslim Clerics.

Alhaji Adam Barau also known as Alhaji Baban Cole, a pilgrim with many years of experience revealed that issue of accommodation, feeding and transportation were handled very well to the satisfaction of all adding that some facilities given to them at their various hotels include free WiFi usage, fully air conditioned rooms among others made life easier for pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He further revealed that food, water and drinks were distributed to them free of charge as they were fed with two square meal throughout their stay.

He expressed his dissatisfaction over an audio going viral on social media and some traditional media that pilgrims are not been fed as promised by the Hajj Board and that people are dying. This he call on Ghanaians back home to disregard the said audios which he believe are been cooked to tarnish the hard won reputation of the Ghana Hajj Board and its Chairman, Hon. Sheikh I.C Quaye.

He commended the President and his Vice as well as the Hajj Board Chairman for distributing luggage without any charges and called on other pilgrims to ensure that they meet the 46 kilograms of weighing of luggage to avoid delays during the weighing process.

According to them, the charges of handling of luggage is in the right direction as monies will be paid to Ghanaians in diaspora who will be used as loading boys to help transport the luggage from Makkah to Jeddah airport respectively.
