Some Prospective Pilgrims Begin Payments for 2026 Hajj – PAOG Confirms

The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced that some prospective pilgrims, groups, and accredited agents have begun paying the approved GH¢60,000 Hajj fare for the 2026 pilgrimage.

In a press release issued by the PAOG Communications Directorate, the office confirmed that payments are being made through its official banking partner, GCB Bank, to ensure a smooth and transparent process ahead of next year’s pilgrimage.

The statement further reminded accredited Hajj agents to strictly adhere to the payment guidelines, particularly by using their unique code numbers and ensuring all required verifiable details accompany each transaction.

According to the release, individual pilgrims who prefer to make direct payments can do so through the PAOG’s official GCB account (Account Number: 1681130001682). They are, however, required to present their pay-in slips at the PAOG Secretariat to initiate the official travel documentation process.

Chairman of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana, Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, expressed appreciation to those who have already started making payments and reaffirmed his confidence in the accredited agents managing the process.

The PAOG encouraged all prospective pilgrims to follow the official payment procedures to avoid any inconveniences as preparations for the 2026 Hajj continue.
