Victor Asamani Parbi Enstooled As New Chief Of Amanase

The Chiefs and Elders of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council and the Royal Family of Amanase in the Eastern Region on Thursday, November 21, 2024 installed Victor Asamani Parbi as the Chief of Amanase.

Known in private life as Victor Asamani Parbi is 44 years was installed under the stool name Osaberima Etuobefom Asare Panin at a historic traditional ceremony held at the forecourt of Amanase Palace.

The new Chief who underwent traditional rites and rituals, swore an oath of office to Osabarima Otu Darko IV, Osino hene who represented the acting Head of the Benkum Division of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council, Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebeashwe, Akyem Etwereso Hene.

Thousands of jubilant onlookers watched as the new Chief was hoisted shoulder-high and paraded through the main streets of Amanase with dozens of royal guards amidst firing of musketry leading the procession.

Victor Asamani Parbi became the Regent of Amanase on 8th December 2023 after Osabarima Asamoah Asare Ampofo, the formér chief became weak at age 93.
His nomination by the three royal gates of Amanase was approved by Osaagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin. He is the 6th occupant of the royal stool of Amanase.

A staff of the Food and Drugs Authority, he was a Principal Regulatory Officer at the World Health Organization (WHO).
He succeeds Osaberima Asamoah Asare Ampofo who died at aged 93 after a short illness on April 8, 2024.
