Wanted CEO Of Sapholda Ventures Adolph Tetteh Adjei Arrested Over Alleged Death Threats In Tse-Addo Land Dispute

Adolph Tetteh Adjei, Chief Executive Officer of Sapholda Ventures, an Accra-based freight forwarding company, has been arrested by the police on March 1, 2026, barely 24 hours after he was declared wanted for allegedly issuing death threats against members of the allodial owners of the Tse-Addo lands.
Adjei, who was earlier captured on video allegedly threatening the life of Mr. Hermes Quaye, a representative of the Tse-Addo allodial landowners, reportedly went into hiding after the incident.
The arrest follows days of heightened tension after Adjei lost an appeal seeking to overturn a November 2025 High Court ruling delivered in favour of the allodial owners of the disputed Tse-Addo land and their grantee, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
Despite the court setback, Adjei is alleged to have stormed the property, land he had lost possession of through the court process, claiming ownership. Eyewitnesses say he faced resistance from members of the victorious party.
In widely circulated footage, Adjei is heard allegedly boasting about his links to the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, while expressing apparent disregard for the ruling of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He is further accused of threatening to inflict “bullet wounds” on Mr. Quaye and to engage armed individuals to forcibly take possession of the land.
Acting on intelligence, police reportedly apprehended Adjei on the morning of March 1, 2026, at Tse-Addo when he allegedly attempted to enter the disputed property again in the company of armed men said to have been contracted for that purpose.
Sources indicate that a tense standoff ensued between the suspect and security personnel before he was subdued and taken into custody.
Adjei is currently being held at the Nungua Police Command to assist with investigations and is expected to be arraigned before court on March 2, 2026.
Meanwhile, members of the Ataa Tawiah Tsinaiatse and Nuumo Ofoli Kwashie families, the allodial owners of the Tse-Addo lands, have commended the police for their swift intervention, describing the arrest as a crucial step toward safeguarding lives, property, and the authority of the courts.
