Worthy Charity Outreach Supports 2 Communities With Learning Materials
The Founder of Worthy Charity Outreach, a Non-Governmental Organisation based in the United States of America (USA), Miss Kaziah Monica Boateng, has made a passionate appealed to parents, philanthropies and stakeholders in the educational Sector to support government efforts in providing quality education and training for street children to help them out of the street.
She said most parents in Ghana are unable to make ends meet, let alone provide the quality of education needed for their children.
“Without the necessary educational materials, brilliant young minds will not be able to achieve the quality of education that they need to thrive academically. And without a proper education to provide positive opportunities, too many young people with high potential will turn to destructive rather than constructive paths for themselves and their community,” she said.
According to her, some of these innocent children are forced into critical situations through no fault of their own, saying that “If they do not receive aid and support, they become child labourers, street children, or even juvenile delinquents. Worthy charity outreach, therefore, identifies and saves these types of children from the street through its humanitarian program where they are provided for and enrolled in schools with full scholarship”.
Miss Kaziah Boateng made this revelation when she joined her team in Ghana for a presentation Ceremony organised by her Foundation.
The presentation ceremony was in fulfilment of a promise she made to the chiefs and people following an appeal made to her by some Chiefs to support their communities in the Asanti Region of Ghana with learning materials.
The items included Textbooks, Exercise books, Mathematical sets, pens, pencils and provisions.
These items among many other consumables were delivered to Tetrem R/C School and Nana Appiadu D/A Primary School in Sabronum-Mankraso, in the Ahafo Ano Municipality respectively.
The donation event, which was on the theme, “Education is the foundation upon which we build our future”, was graciously attended by the chiefs and people of the beneficiary communities where they applauded the management of Worthy Charity Outreach for their timely intervention and support.
Explaining the rationale behind the donation, Miss Kaziah Monica Boateng said her Foundation focuses on improving the living standard of people by offering the needed support, stressing that; “We feel that humanity is not just about living with people in a community. It is about stretching forth a hand that helps the disadvantaged, or the underprivileged in the society.”
The Charity Foundation also financially supported some widows in the community who are unable to take care of themselves due to financial constraint.
She revealed that last year, donations were made over five times to support the charity initiative in some deprived communities in Ghana.
She also disclosed that aside from helping widows and street children, the Foundation also donates medical consumables such as wheelchairs to the disabled in the communities.
Miss Kaziah also indicated that the Foundation has planned to build an ultra-modern orphanage home in Ghana to cater for the needs of orphans, the disabled as well as street children.
She averred that since the inception of Worthy Charity Outreach a decade ago in the US, she has been the sole financier and therefore appealed to individuals and corporate organisations to support her vision of empowering the vulnerable in society through timely donations.
She however, expressed the Foundation’s continuous support to improve the living conditions of the vulnerable.
Miss Kaziah, therefore, used the opportunity to express her profound appreciation to the donors, volunteers, supporters and the team in Ghana for their continued commitment and generosity towards the achievements of the overall goal of the Foundation.
The beneficiary communities through their leaders expressed appreciation to Worthy Charity Outreach for the gesture.
