At the just ended 6th edition of the Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA) 2019, an awards ceremony held to commend and commemorate companies going the extra mile in the industry, Xpress Gas Limited was adjudged the: Innovative Product of the year (Swap N Go) and Emerging brand of the year.The Company beat off stiff competition from other Oil Marketing Companies to win the coveted prizes at the GOGA 2019 held at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on the 13th of December, 2019.The Ghana Oil and Gas Awards remains the largest industry initiative dedicated to championing excellence endorsed by the Ministry of Energy in Partnership with industry stakeholders like the National Petroleum Authority and Ghana Oil and Gas Service Providers Association.The Ghanaian economy has become increasingly reliant on energy to sustain growth since oil and gas resources present enormous opportunities for economic development. In order to achieve this collective goal of economic development, GOGA commemorates companies in the industry doing their very best to help grow the industry in their own strategic ways, by holding awards ceremonies to boost the credibility of nominated companies and to also make companies assess themselves and identify areas for improvement.Commenting on the awards, The General Manager of XpressGas Limited, Mrs. Maureen Darko dedicated the awards to all stakeholders of the organisation. “We dedicate these awards to our staff, customers and stakeholders for remaining loyal to our brand. It is an on demand LPG delivery service that ensures availability, accessibility, affordability and safe usage of clean cooking LPG. Swap ‘N’ Go as a door to door delivery service helps LPG users save cost and also deal with inconveniences such as carrying their cylinders to a refilling outlet where they could either experience shortage of the product or join long queues before they are served.The Guest of honour, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam (Deputy Minister of Energy) congratulated all the award winners for their commitment and contributions to the growth and expansion of the oil and gas sector in Ghana. He further challenged Indigenous Oil and Gas Companies to build capacities that will help the country to discover more oil and gas.In all, 31 Companies and 11 Individuals were honoured for their distinguished contributions to the industry and it was an honour to have Xpress Gas win two prestigious awards that night.
