Various Zongo and Moshie Chiefs on Sunday, February 16, 2025 gathered at the forecourt of the Moshie Chief of Achiaman Palace in the Amasaman Municipality to witness the turbining ceremony of cabinet members of Naaba Koom Sugri I the Moshie Chief of Achiaman.
The gathering brought together the Greater Accra Moshie Yadiga Chief, Naaba Ramia and the Greater Accra Moshie Chief, Naaba Sigiri which signifies unity and togetherness between the two Moshie tribes.
The gathering also marked the enskinment of the Achiaman Moshie Chief after his coronation two years ago as part of the tradition, highlighting the rich culture, love and unity among the various tribes in the Zongo community.
The newly turbined cabinet members will assist the Chief to steer the affairs of the Moshie people in the community and ensure that the Chief’s vision of seeking the welfare and progress of the people is achieved.
They were also task to bring unity and ensure peace among the Moshie people and other tribes as well as work hand in hand with the community members to provide safe environment for all.
The position of the cabinet members include, Sarkin Samari, Sarkin Yaaki, Sarkin Faada, Magajiya, Galadima, Waziri, Sarkin Dawakai and Sarkin Kujeira.
These individuals holding the above mentioned positions are the cabinet members to help the Chief steer the affairs of the Moshie people in the community.
The chairman for the occasion, who is the Greater Accra Moshie Yadiga, Naaba Ramia called on the newly turbined cabinet members to uphold their positions and use it to help the people in the community.
He added that their work as cabinet members are beyond the tribes they represent urging them to extend a helping hand to other tribes who may need their support.
He further urged them to listen to advise of their Chief and respect each other’s views and opinions so as to ensure unity and respect among themselves.
He reminded them that they are not installed as Chiefs rather they are cabinet members and therefore their positions are not equivalent to that of the Chief and their role as cabinet members is to help the Chief bring development and unity to the tribes.
speaking to the media, the Moshie Chief of Achiaman, Naaba Koom Sugri I, tasked the newly turbined cabinet members to serve the people with respect at all times.
He urged them to be respectful and submissive to all Chiefs and elders of all other tribes as well as make the throne attractive and popular.
According to him, his priority is to ensure peace and unity as well as provide the necessary measures to ensure proper road network and educational infrastructure in the community.
He therefore called on the government to extend its development initiatives to Achiaman to enable them have easy access to their homes.
