The Adentan Municipal Chief Imam Sheikh Mohammed Mutawakil Abubakar has organised a workshop to interact with Islamic scholars, Imams set to lead Qur’anic interpretation (Tafsir) sessions during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The event, held at Centre for Crowns of Light in the Adentan Municipality brought together renowned clerics and scholars within the Adentan Municipality and its environ and is aimed at guiding the Imams for effective and insightful Qur’anic interpretations throughout Ramadan.
The workshop which was on the theme “Preparing Adentan Imams For Impactful Ramadan” was described as a step in the right direction ensuring that scholars are well-equipped to guide the Muslim faithfuls through the holy month and Qur’anic reflections.
This will make positive impact to the Muslim umah during Ramadan season and will guide the youth to stay holy even after the end of the season.
Interacting with the participants during the seminar, the visiting Scholar, Sheikh Ibrahim Misri commended the Adentan Municipal Chief Imam for his significant contributions and impact in preparing the Imams for better Tafsir during the Ramadan.
He called on the participants (Imams) to serve as an example to their followers so as to encourage them to make use of what they where thought during the Tafsir sessions.
He further called on them to consider that there are two types of guidance which includes guidance from Allah and educational which must reflect through lifestyle and good character to serve as an example to others.
He urged them to promote peaceful coexistence among Muslims and other faith and proper adherence to Islamic principles.
On his part, the Chief Imam of Adentan Municipal, Sheikh Mohammed Mutawakil Abubakar stated that the workshop was to remind the Imams of their responsibilities ahead of the Ramadan to accurately convey Allah’s message without contradiction.
He added that the workshop would bring understanding among the scholars when conducting Tafsir within the Adentan Municipalities as well as educate them on their roles.
Sheikh Mohammed Mutawakil Abubakar presented Ramadan package to the Imams as part of preparation towards the Ramadan.
The items include, rice, cooking oil, sugar, Lipton tea among others.
