Afenyo Markin Misleads, Abandons Client Again At Court; His Application For Injunction Thrown Out
The Winneba High Court today 18th November, 2019, at it sitting presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Janapare Bartels Kodwo has thrown out an injunction and certiorari applications filed by Dr Kaakyire Duku Frimpong against the University of Education, Winneba.
He was challenging the Vice-Chancellor’s power to nominate three candidates for the Pro-Vice-Chancellor’s election at the University.
It would be recalled that the Pro-Vice-Chancellor’s election slated for June 13, 2019 had to be halted a day before the election due to the service of the said application on the respondent institution.
Her ladyship Justice Janapare Bartels Kodwo dismissed the
application on procedural grounds and awarded a cost of 5,000 cedis against the applicant, Dr Kaakyire Duku Frimpong.
Counsel for the respondent institution, Paa Kwasi Abaidoo had prayed the court to award a hefty cost to serve as deterrent but the court was rather magnanimous in the award of cost against the applicant.
This ruling brings to Five a number of court cases which had been filed by Dr Kaakyire Duku Frimpong with all of same being thrown out of court.
Dr Kaakyire Duku Frimpong who has developed penchant for taking his own employer to court has been described in court as a Busy Body.
He miserably left the premises of the court without his two-by-four supporters.
Counsel for Dr Kaakyire Duku Frimpong, Alex Afenyo Markin was conspicuously missing in court today prompting speculation on why he always runs away from the court whenever a date for ruling has been slated.
This is the second in succession within a space of one week that he had run away from court ruling.
It would be recalled that at the Cape Coast High Court 2 ruling on 11th November, 2019, Alex Afenyo Markin who had been trumpeting the potency of a purported EOCO report on radio, which according to him had exonerated the five dismissed staff of UEW was inexplicably missing in court.
This has led to many questioning his legal credentials and cases he has been fronting for, against the University of Education, Winneba.
Whether or not Alex Afenyo Markin will present himself in court to suffer the humiliation of court ruling after misleading his clients, time will tell!
