Adwoa Safo’s Supporters Attack Dome Kwabenya Constituency NPP Parliamentary Election Committee
The leadership of Mike Oquaye Jnr campaign group has indicated with much emphasis that His Excellency Mike Oquaye Jnr and his team were not aware and do not have a hand in any act of clash, so claimed by the Adwoa Safo’s team.
Ntim Gyakari, Lead Team Member of H.E Mike Oquaye explained in a Press Release that they were informed by the Parliamentary Election Committee (PEC) that the Commitee was going to clean the Delegates Constituency Album and that Electoral Zonal Coordinators of the party are invited to meet the PEC.
The PEC met in accordance to that directive with Mr. Moses Osei Forjour, Formal Constituency Chairman and PEC Chairman, Mr. Robert Osei Bonsu, Current Constituency Chairman and Constituency Rep of PEC, Madam Monica Akoto Adjei, Council of Patrons Rep of PEC, and Mr. Theophilus Ansah Larbi, Constituency Secretary and Secretary to PEC in attendance, carrying out the exercise when surprisingly, a four gang of supporters led by Nana Dubin Kwapong – a campaign team leader of Hon Adwoa Safo the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome Kwabenya Constituency attacked and snatched the New Patriotic Party’s Constituency Album of Dome-Kwabenya from the Parliamentary Elections Committee and bolted away with it on April 21, 2020.
He said, the development nearly ended in a confrontation between a few supporters of Mike Oquaye Jnr, faction and the group of supporters who planned and executed the “needless act.”
According to him, the said clash was staged by same group of attackers who after their criminal invasion sought to quickly invite the Citi News Reporters to capture scenes of Hon. Adwoa Safo Supporters in the house of DKC Chairman – Robert Osei Bonsu, who dabbles up as a campaign lead team member of the MP, to create the impression to cover up their diabolic conspiracy.
“This act is a signal or demonstration of what is to be expected if not worst from supporters of Hon. Adwoa Safo team on the elections grounds if measures are not put in place to curb the tensions mounting from their camp,” he stated.
According to him, the faithful supporters of H.E Mike Oquaye Jnr will resist any act of intimidation, manipulation and vandalism in the parliamentary electoral process in the upcoming Dome Kwabenya Parliamentary Primaries from wherever it may come be it the Region, National or anywhere else.
The group thus called on the National Election Committee to release the said copy of the Original Photo Album of Delegates for the Constituency sent to them for authentication.
