Dog Fight In Ablekuma Central NPP Deepens
It seems there is a dog fight in Ablekuma Central Constituency of the New Patriotic Party, NPP in the Greater Accra Region, as the party prepares toward its primaries to elect Parliamentary candidates for the various constituencies in the upcoming 2020 general elections.
Some delegates and sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party in the said constituency have stated that, the party’s Member of Parliament, Hon. Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey, have been the worse NPP MP the party has produce in the history of the constituency.
A visit to the constituency by our reporter to ascertain the performance of the said MP and interview he the MP granted to an Accra base Asempa Fm, where he outlined some projects he claimed to be his within the constituency.
According to the electorates and some delegates, checks they conducted revealed that all the projects the MP claimed to have executed are lies and does not tally with what he said during his interview on Asempa Fm.
The electorates further revealed that the MP has no proper planning when it comes to developing projects within the constituency.
Delegates who spoked to our reporter states that, they the find it so difficult to defend the MP in any debate in the constituency with reference to the MP’S achievements.
“Hon. Ebenezer Nartey has been a disgrace to us in the constituency and his personal relationship with constituents make the party unpopular. ” One of the delegate noted.
According to the delegates, the disrespectful attitude of the MP is unprecedented, adding; there are a lot of issues between Member of Parliament and the electorates which can make the party lose the Parliamentary seat to the NDC.
It will be recalled that the Ablekyma Central Communication Bureau of National Democratic Congress (NDC) set the records straight to counter the said interview the MP granted to Asempa Fm.
The Communication Officer for the NDC in Ablekuma Central led by Hon. Vivian Sallah in the press statement revealed that, the said projects the MP claimed to have done is an achievement of the NDC and not his.
She stated that some of the projects was started by the erstwhile President John Agyakum Kuffour’s administration and was completed by the Mills-Mahama administration.
When the projects were completed, the Member of Parliament for the constituency at the time was the NDC’s Hon. Theophilus Tetteh Chai.
