Accra Zabarma Chief Visits Weija flood victims At Tetegu
The Greater Accra Zabarma Chief, Sarki Musah Yahaya Yendu and his entourage have visited affected victims at Tetegu of Weija flood spillage where he interacted with the Zabarma community in the area.
The communities close to the Weija Dam, including Weija, Oblogo and Tetegu have been submerged in flood after the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) opened the five spill gates of the dam to spill water to save it from collapsing.
During the tour of the flooded areas to assess the extent of damage, the Accra Zabarma Chief urged the victims to exercise restraint as government will do its best to support them with some relief items to help alleviate their plight.
He called on the government to engage the residents and the management of the Ghana Water Company to find a lasting solution to the problem.
He also met with the leadership of the Zabarma community in Tetegu which includes, the Sarki Tetegu Sarki Alhaji Ibrahim Boosu, Wazirin Zabarmawa Alhaji Yusif Fulani to interact with them on issues that will move the Zabarma community in Tetegu forward.
The Greater Accra Zabarma Chief Sarki Musah Yahaya Yendu also paid a courtesy call on the Weija Divisional Commander DCOP Mr. Freeman to commend him for his support to the victims so far.
Sarki Musah Yahaya Yendu was accompanied by the Zabarma Youth Chief of Tuba who doubles as the Youth Chief of Greater Accra Zabarma community Sarki Masawudu Modi, Sarkin Kasoa Alhaji Haruna Salai and Sarkin Zabarmawa Nyanyano Sarki Taller.
Others includes Sarkin Mallam and Sarkin Zabarmawa Aplaku Alhaji Hamani.
