According to the President of the Galilee International Management Institute, Dr. Joseph Shevel, the tertiary institution, which has 60 current GPHA staff as its alumni has been collaborating with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority for 30 years to provide adequate expert training to some of GPHA’s staff on a yearly basis.
He said the Institute has gained good reputation in Marketing and Management, especially Port Management and Security and is glad to share such knowledge with the staff of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.
Dr. Joseph Shevel revealed some of the advanced level of technology Israel uses to bring socio-economic development to its country and expressed how such techniques when transferred unto Ghanaians can improve massively Ghana’s national development.
“We have developed a very potent agricultural system that recycles domestic water for irrigation, also a high tech security system that deploys a lot of intelligence that makes our ports impenetrable. So we are glad to share this Israeli experience with people from Ghana Ports every year,” he explained.
