A Tale Of Lies And Murder (The Unprovoked Aggression Of The US And Israel): A Familiar Path

On Saturday, 28 February 2026—the 10th day of Ramadan—while much of the Muslim world was engaged in worship, reflection, charity, and spiritual devotion, the United States and Israel launched what is described as an unjustified act of large-scale violence and destruction against the Iranian nation. Compounding the gravity of the moment, these attacks occurred while diplomatic discussions between Iran and the United States were ongoing, discussions that Iran, the United States, and the Sultanate of Oman had all characterized as constructive and progressing positively.
This sequence of events appears familiar. A similar pattern was witnessed in June 2025, when Israel carried out attacks on Iran during a period of active diplomatic engagement with the United States.
For decades, the United States and Israel have accused Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons while repeatedly declaring that such an outcome would not be permitted. Iran, however, has consistently maintained that its nuclear program serves civilian purposes only and contains no military dimension—an assertion it argues has been supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and several other countries.
More than one million people lost their lives when the United States and the so-called “coalition of the willing” invaded Iraq based on claims of “credible intelligence” alleging the existence of weapons of mass destruction that justified preemptive action. This narrative, associated with the administration of George W. Bush and promoted internationally by senior officials such as Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, supported by Tony Blair and amplified by major Western media organizations including the BBC, CNN, and FOX, ultimately proved unfounded while resulting in massive civilian casualties, many of them women and children.
A comparable justification was presented in Afghanistan, where the stated objective shifted toward establishing democracy. After two decades of military presence, followed by withdrawal and the rapid return of the Taliban to power, the proclaimed democratic objective appeared unfulfilled, exposing the inconsistency of the original rationale.
Similar arguments were historically used regarding communism in Vietnam, which was once portrayed as a global threat. Vietnam remains communist today without posing such a danger. Comparable narratives were applied to countries such as Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Cambodia, and China, each portrayed as a threat to international stability, yet, according to this perspective, none has produced the dangers predicted. Instead, destruction and conflict are argued to have accompanied the projection of American and Israeli power abroad.
These recurring narratives are presented once again in relation to Iran. Claims of an imminent Iranian threat are said to have been contradicted by statements from the Pentagon. Assertions that Iran seeks nuclear weapons are described as inconsistent with IAEA findings; accusations of anti-Jewish policies are countered by references to the longstanding Jewish population within Iran; and allegations of widespread domestic mistreatment are argued to conflict with statistical indicators and reported living standards.
Despite these points, the United States and Israel proceeded with military action on Saturday, described here as occurring without provocation or legitimate justification. According to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the objective was to secure Israel’s military dominance in the region by weakening other states to ensure a lasting strategic advantage.
The attack is characterized as a violation of international law. It reportedly targeted the leader of the Islamic Republic, resulting in his death along with several members of his immediate family, including daughters-in-law and grandchildren. On the same day, a strike on a girls’ primary school allegedly killed more than 165 students between the ages of seven and twelve, described as another war crime.
Subsequent strikes are said to have targeted media facilities, financial institutions, hospitals, and other civilian infrastructure. As of 3 March 2026, the conflict had reportedly resulted in over 650 Iranian deaths and many more injuries.
According to this viewpoint, the global public must recognize what are described as recurring patterns of deception and violence associated with American geopolitical dominance. Ordinary people are urged not to become casualties in geopolitical struggles where human lives are reduced to statistics.
The article further calls on the public to reject what it views as the sanitization of warfare through language that replaces words such as “killed” with terms like “eliminated,” “collateral damage,” or “neutralized.” Finally, it urges opposition to imperialism and to the domination of smaller nations by more powerful states.
