میحرلا نمحرلا للها مسب

In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Each year on the 11st of Feb, Iranian people celebrate their Islamic revolution all over the Iran. Actually this day indicates the events concerning the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty by Iranian people. Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, as the king of Iran was supported by the Western Powers and Israel regime. This day in Iranian calendar is the eventual replacement of Pahlavi dynasty with an Islamic republic under the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

The celebrations of the victory of the revolution begin on 1st February, which is the day Grand Ayatollah Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, after spending more than 14 years in exile returned to Iran. This success was achieved as a result of massive popular demonstrations and the martyrdom of many people. The king of Iran fled and Imam Khomeini were able to return to the country.

Each year, ten-day celebrations known as Dahe-ye Fajr are held across Iran to mark the event, Because these ten days played a very important role in the victory of the revolution. For example on 10th of February 1979, an armed struggle took place between the people and government forces, during which hundreds were killed and injured. Ayatollah Khomeini threatened the regime to order jihad. On the same day, large numbers of police stations were captured by people. Tehran’s military governorate announced a curfew from 9am to 8am which was formed under the supervision of American and Israeli generals to suppress the revolution. The people practically ignored this curfew and prevented the movement of troops in the streets by creating numerous fires and roadblocks until morning.

After the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution on the 22nd of Bahman, based on the invitation of Imam Khomeini, a referendum on the Islamic Republic of Iran was held on 30th and 31st of April 1979 and a total of 98.2 % of the people who have participated in the referendum declared their satisfaction for the establishment of the Islamic Republic by voting yes. The profound change was very rapid, widespread, and led to the deportation of many Iranians, so the Islamic Revolution replaced a pro-western and pro-Israeli monarchy. It was a non-violent revolution that redefined the definition of modern revolutions.

To remember these important events on each 11st of Feb (22nd of Bahman), Senior Iranian officials and masses who belong to various organizations and sections go on a walk in the streets in all towns and major Iranian cities and to express their faithfulness, loyalty towards the principles and Ideals of Imam Khomeini and promise to follow his heavenly path during these massive march. In numerous parts of the world, Iranian embassies, legations and cultural houses with close harmonization of other organizations launch ceremonies and special events for the anniversary of victory of the revolution on the 11st of Feb. During the massive meetings and ceremonies, devotees initiate to uphold the ideals and dynamic thought of Imam.

The march on 11st of Feb is carried out by the vast majority of the oppressed people and the masses of the entire community who continue to support the goals of the revolution and never forget the goals of the late leader of Imam Khomeini’s revolution. The message of the Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini has never been limited to Iran or the countries of the region. The Imam’s movement not only created awareness, vigilance and awakening among the oppressed around the world, but also opposed the evil conspiracies and plots of the colonial powers.

The Imam Khomeini and Global Justice

The Imam Khomeini challenged the so-called world powers and restored divine, human and spiritual values in the contemporary and modern era, relying on God the Almighty. The main message of the revolution is universal in that it encourages divine, religious, spiritual, social and cultural values. The Islamic Revolution, when the world was plunged into social and moral decay, won a critical juncture in history, and the colonial powers of the world divided all countries into two eastern and western blocs.

Imam Khomeini emphasis on the unity of deprived and oppressed people all over the world and says:

“Today, world peace is such that all countries are under the political influence of the superpowers; they observe a control everywhere and have schemes for defeating every group. The most important of these is sowing discord among brothers.”

The Islamic Revolution of Iran, led by Imam Khomeini, defended the rights of the Palestinian people and other nations attacked by the barbaric Israeli regime in the region. From the early days of the movement, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while emphasizing on the corrupted activities of Pahlavi regime and Israel, said:

“The specific task of the Islamic Revolution, mosques and religious circles is to remind the people of Israeli crimes. The educated and noble nation of Iran should not be silent”

Imam Khomeini described the usurping Israel regime as a “dangerous cancer.” He ordered to give Israel regime`s embassy to the Palestinian freedom fighters after the victory of the revolution. He named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the International Day of Unity with the Oppressed People of Palestine.

The close relation of Shah regime and dictator and apartheid regime like the South African Apartheid regime totally changed after Islamic Revolution in Iran. Iran’s relations with the apartheid regime were severed after the revolution, and this was one of the Imam’s strategic decisions made even before the victory of the revolution. Imam Khomeini had already said:

if the revolution wins, we will sever ties with the apartheid regime in South Africa and the Israel regime.

This happened in the early days after the victory of the revolution, and the revolutionary government of Iran expelled the Consul General of South Africa at that time, cut off all political, economic and military ties with the South African apartheid regime and Irael regime and fully supported rightful people struggles against these two apartheid regimes.

Nelson Mandela After being released from prison and while busy with his political and social activities, He acknowledged many times that Imam Khomeini had been an inspiration for him on his path. He considered Imam Khomeini to be an awakening force for all his contemporary monotheists. He described him as being not only the leader of the Islamic Revolution but also the leader of all freedom-seeking movements throughout the entire world. During his presidency, Mandela travelled to Iran two times, and in both trips he met with Imam Khamenei. During these meetings, he emphasized that Imam Khomeini was a source of inspiration for the South African people in their anti-Apartheid activities.[1] Hanif Henderson, a Muslim member of the South African Parliament, said in an interview with RNA that they hadn’t had any hope of achieving victory over the Apartheid regime. He goes on to say that it was Imam Khomeini who, having defeated the oppressive monarchical regime in Iran, revived the idea of fighting and gaining freedom for their people.

Therefore, after the triumph of Islamic Republic of Iran (February 11, 1979) hostile powers started double attempt to destroy the Iranian revolution. The revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini, in spite of many difficulties and obstacles, gradually moved towards stability and prosperity. The Islamic Revolution revived self-confidence among freedom seekers and raised their awareness of the colonialist plans of the colonial powers. The Imam created an Islamic democratic system that put Iran on the path to progress and brought honor, dignity and independence to the country. The revolution also changed the balance of power in the global arena for the benefit of the entire world and the oppressed nations.

The policy of Islamic Republic of Iran has never changed after Imam Khomeini`s death and is committed to the freedom of Palestinian people as well as South African people under the apartheid regime. Grand Ayatollah Imam Ali Khamenei as the rightful successor of Imam Khomeini, has followed the same libertarian and justice-oriented principles. Imam Khamenei, the Grand leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, has announced the Official Peaceful plan for Palestine Issue. This plan is based on holding a big referendum like what happened in the South Africa, with the participation of all Palestinian Muslims, Christians and Jews in order to form a united country and for people to live in peace forever. [3] He emphasizes that up to the time that Israeli regime, accept (like Apartheid regime which finally forced to accept) this peaceful plan, Palestinian resistance groups have the right to defend the holy Al-Aghsa mosque against Israeli effort to ruin it, and defend their lands against Israeli illegal settlements buildings. And save their people against being tortured, raped and Being expelled from Palestinian lands by Israeli Occupying forces.
