Ghana Is Not Broke But Bankrupt – Dr. Ayariga

The Founder and Leader of the All Peoples Congress (APC), Dr. Hassan Ayariga has taken the pain to remind the NPP and Vice President Dr. Mahamud Bawumia that, Ghana has gone beyond broke.

In his opinion, the country is completely bankrupt and no amount of ‘malnourished propaganda’ can salvage the situation. According to Mr. Ayariga, it is only advisable if we all come together to save the nation.

Listing a number of strange occurrences which only surfaced the moment the NPP assumed the reins of power in 2017, Dr. Hassan Ayariga admonished Ghanaians to kindly remind Dr. Bawumia over the following critical issues confronting the nation.

it is the first time in our history that the cedi to the dollar is 8GH

It is the first time in our history that the price of fuel has gotten to 10GH

It is the first time in our history that our debt stocks is above Gh354 billion

It is the first time in our history that government has borrowed so much and has nothing to show

It’s the first time in our history that a bowl of Gari is GH20

It’s the first time in our history a ball of Kenkey is now 2 & 3Gh

It is the first time in our history that prices of goods in the market has doubled or even tripled, meanwhile salaries of workers remains same.

But the Vice President, has urged Ghanaians to have confidence in the Akufo-Addo administration to navigate the nation positively through the present economic storms because, fundamentally, the NPP has a track-record of doing so.

Addressing attendees at a training and orientation programme for the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Thursday, (April 7, 2022) Dr Bawumia reminded Ghanaians that although times may be hard now, the Akufo-Addo administration inherited an even more dire situation and successfully moved the country onto a path of growth until the whole world was blindsided by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and locally, the banking sector clean up.
