The Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of McDan Group of Companies, Daniel McKorley has celebrated the Dancehall King, Shatta Wale for making history of becoming the first Ghanaian artiste to premier a video with the American musician Beyoncé.
Last week Beyoncé premiered the video for ‘Already’ her collaboration with Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale and Major Lazer, taken from the 2019 album ‘The Lion King: The Gift’.
On Tuesday, Daniel McKorley extended an invitation and hosted Shatta Wale in his residence to officially applaud him and encourage him to use the platform he got to excel.
According to McDan, Shatta Wale’s recent breakthrough with his video with Beyonce is an indication of how Shatta Wale carried himself, build upon his image and passion as an artist over the years.
He said Shatta Wale will continue to rise and probably take the whole world by storm if he does not allow complacency to set in now that he has reached this appreciable height.
“You have indeed excel in your field as a young artist. As a youth this is the time for you to sit up and aspire to achieve more. This collaboration with Beyonce is indeed a great achievement, but it mustn’t end here.
Daniel McKorley said Shatta Wale has given Ghana and Africa an image that is beyond imagination and has lifted Ghana’s image when it comes to music.
He also averred that other young artists must be encouraged by Shatta Wale’s feat and build their career and become the best of the bests.
Daniel McKorley also took the opportunity and advice Shatta Wale.
He advised Shatta Wale to begin making wise investments and not to depend solely on Music.
“This is the time for you to invest. It is very important in life as a young man, Music I know is your dream and passion, but you must look beyond that and investing your money; that is my advice to you,” he said.
On his part, Shatta Wale expressed gratitude to Daniel McKorley for the reception and promise to be a role model to up and coming artists and an inspiration to the youth.
He said, he will put the advice he received from McDan into use and ensure that, he excels in whatever he does.
