NDC Cadres Demand Arrest and Prosecution of Hawa Koomson

Concerned Cadres of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Awutu Senya East have issued a strongly worded statement calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Hawa Koomson, the former Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East.
In a release signed by David Gunu, Convener of the NDC Cadres of the Awutu Senya East Constituency (ASEC), the group accused Hawa Koomson of orchestrating acts of violence during her time as the MP, including incidents that led to one death, amputation, and several serious injuries.
The statement further claims that the current MP for the constituency, Hon. Naa Koryoo, was the target of multiple alleged assassination attempts linked to Koomson’s activities.
“These atrocities are on record with the Ghana Police Service,” the group stated. “We demand an immediate arrest, thorough investigation, and prosecution of Hawa Koomson. She must be held accountable for her actions as our constitution demands.”
Calling her “a notoriously violent figure,” the NDC Cadres accused Hawa Koomson of using political violence for personal gain and condemned what they described as attempts to portray her as a victim.
“Arrest and prosecute Hawa Koomson now. It is the just, moral and godly thing to do.”
As of now, Hawa Koomson has not responded to the allegations. The Ghana Police Service has also not issued any public statement regarding the matter.
