I petitioned the Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP) to investigate certain alleged breaches of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended, in the award of some contracts at the Ghana Water Co. Ltd. (GWCL).
Soon after the contents of the petition became public knowledge, several media houses, including the Daily Despatch newspaper, Top FM, Neat FM, etc., received threats of court action from the management of GWCL. Unfortunately, some of these media houses fell for these threats, and went ahead to retract and apologize to persons alleged to have indulged in create, loot and share at GWCL.
I have done nothing wrong in law, so I am NOT rendering any apology to anybody at GWCL or elsewhere, in respect of my petition to the OSP.
A certain Dawda Eric, who was recently employed at GWCL and posted to Weija, has petitioned the National Accreditation Board (NAB), to investigate my qualifications as a university lecturer.
As a law abiding citizen of this country, my duty is to welcome such a petition so that the petitioner and his paymasters will eventually receive the right answers from NAB.
It is those officials at GWCL threatening lawsuits who had exhibited clear symptoms of ignorance, by openly threatening me to withdraw my petition to the OSP; indeed, one wonders why such staff and their remote controlled powers have not had their qualifications investigated. How can people who claim to be lawyers and others claiming to hold Doctorate degrees, disgrace themselves publicly by threatening a petitioner to withdraw it? If you have done nothing wrong, the investigations will exonerate you, so what is the problem with the GWCL management?
The media has no power to pronounce anyone guilty or not guilty in respect of petitions, and not only my petition to the OSP. This is why I welcome the petition to NAB.
I urge Dawda Eric and his colleagues who have failed woefully in all their numerous desperate negative designs, to petition Allah, for it is ONLY Allah that I fear!! I am not, and cannot be moved by baseless threats; neither do I give a toss to frivolous and vexatious court actions, or ill-conceived petitions, borne out of being whipped by a competent and confident university lecturer, and having difficulty in accepting defeat, humbly. Dawda Eric and his pathetic and evil paymaster, are yet to feel my firepower. They haven’t seen anything yet. This is a promise, NOT a threat!! The rot at GWCL, is yet to be laid bare!
