SHARJAH International Charity Partners Race 4 Aid To support Orphans

RACE 4 AID, a non-governmental organization has extended its support to orphans in the Northern Sector through a payment presentation ceremony held at the GNAT Hall Tamale.

The event highlighted the organization’s ongoing commitment to uplift the lives of vulnerable children who have lost their parents and often feel hopeless regarding their future.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Imam Mohammed Mutawakil Abubakari, the Executive Director of RACE 4 AID and who doubles as Adenta Municipal Chief Imam, revealed that the purpose of the financial support is to identify and assist less privileged orphans in society.

He emphasized the importance of providing these children with access to education, health care, and overall welfare.

Imam Mutawakil further revealed that the initiative was aimed at empowering the caretakers of the orphans, enabling them to provide essential support for the children’s health, education, and daily needs.

According to him, the program had yielded positive results in the past adding that last year, over 270 orphans benefited from the Sponsored Orphans Program and this year, the initiative anticipates supporting about three hundred orphans.

He also mentioned plans to expand the program into the Upper Regions of the country, aiming to reach orphans in remote areas who are in dire need of assistance to further engage and motivate the orphans.

Sheikh Imam Mutawakil announced an upcoming Quran recitation competition that would reward participants with special packages adding that the organization plans to fund the tertiary education of female orphans to promote their empowerment and success.

In light of challenges faced last year, where some caretakers mismanaged the funds meant for orphans, Imam Mutawakil urged the caretakers to prioritize the education and wellbeing of the children.

He expressed concern over past incidents where funds were diverted for other purposes, describing it as a “nightmare.”

He implored caretakers to use the financial support strictly for the benefit of the orphans.

Sheikh Alhaj Sulemana Nabila, the Chairman of the Occasion, reinforced the importance of the financial assistance, making it clear that any misuse of the funds could have dire consequences.

He emphasized that caretakers who do not fulfill their responsibility toward the orphans would face judgement for their actions in the hereafter.

He commended Imam Mutawakil and his partners for their steadfast commitment to care for children who are navigating life without parental support.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to RACE 4 AID and the generous donors.

Their prayers and appreciation underscored the significant impact of the initiative on their lives, providing hope and support for a brighter future for the children in their care.

The beneficiaries were selected from northern and North East Regions.
