Shehu Dalhu Adjudged Best Islamic Scholar Of The Year
The Northern Regional chief Imam of Shia Muslim Community, Sheikh Abdul Mumeen Dalhu, has been adjudged Mu’alim (best Islamic Scholar) of the year by Ghana Muslims Achievers award.
The event, which took place at the Accra International Conference Center over the weekend, was to recognize and reward people from Zongo communities for their contributions towards national development.
The spiritual leader, Sheikh Dalhu after receiving the award commended the leadership of the Ghana Muslim Achievers for the recognition.
The renowned Islamic preacher, who doubles as chief of Hausa Zongo community in the Tamale Metropolis and founder of Dalhu Greening Project, was earlier this year, selected among the 10 most influential people in Northern Ghana.
Sheikh Dalhu has won other awards in peace and environmental protection.
Sheikh Dalhu who is Imam of Ahlulbayt mission in Northern Ghana has been offering spiritual healing and counseling and mentoring young folks in the Northern Region.
The leadership of (GMAA) eulogized the contributions of Sheikh Dalhu to the growth and development of Islamic education in the country and called on all Muslims to emulate his example to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
According to the event organizers, Muslims cut across industry, academia, arts and entertainment, media and civil society, hence it is important to celebrate every one of them in these fields.
