NDC Elects Constituency Executives Today

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will today October 22, 2022, hold its delegates conference to elect constituency executives across the country.

The conferences in some few constituencies are on hold due to disputes over delegates list for those constituencies and/or the exclusion from ballot papers of candidates who have been qualified through the appeal process.

In a statement issued yesterday October 21, 2022 by the Deputy Director of Elections, Daniel Amartey Mensah to expressed the Party’s readiness to held the Constituency Executives elections today stated that few constituencies have been put on hold.

Those constituencies includes;

1. Afram Plains South -On hold
2. Mpraeso -On hold
3. Atiwa East -On hold
4. Atiwa West -Ballot list issues
5. Achiase -Ballot list issues
6. Nkwawkwaw -Ballot list issues
7. Upper West Akim -Ballot list issues
8. Afram Plains North -Branches on hold
9. Akim Swedru -On hold
10. Akropong -Ballot list issues
11. Fanteakwa South -Youth Wing elections on hold
12. Asene Manso Akroso -Women’s Wing elections on hold

1. Cape Coast North -On hold
2. Abura Asebu Kwamankese -Ballot list issues

1. Hohoe -On hold to agreed date
2. Sogakope -5 branches on hold

1. Prestea Huni Valley -On hold
2. Shama -15 branches on hold

Jirapa -On hold

1. Shai Osudoku -Branch issues
2. Bortianor Ngleshie -14 branches
3. Ningo Prampram -Branch issues
4. Ledzekuku -Branch issues
5. Ayawaso North -On hold
6. Amasaman -On hold
7. Adentan -Youth elections on hold

A Germany-base philanthropist, politician and a member of the NDC in Weija-Gbawe constituency, Alhaji Jalali Yunusah in an interview stated that the need to elect hardworking, loyal and committed constituency executives is important and that will guarantee the progress of the party in the upcoming general elections in 2024.

According to Alhaji Jalali Yunusah, electing competent constituency executives will as well elect competent regional and national executives that will equally guarantee a sound victory for the NDC.

This he called on the delegates to comport themselves and ensure the successful conduct of the polls adding that it is important to prove to Ghanaians that the NDC is a well organized political party in the country and send signal to the ruling party that indeed that NDC is united than ever to rescue Ghanaians from the incompetent NPP.

The German-base philanthropist and a politician further called on all members of the NDC to comport themselves and abide by the rules and guidelines of the party to ensure that the elections are held in peace and unity.

In all 17 elective constituency positions to be contested for, which include Constituency Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer and Communications Officer, Deputy Communications Officer

The rest are Organiser, Deputy Organizer, Women Organiser, Deputy Women Organizer, Youth Organiser, Deputy Youth Organizer, Youth Representative, Zongo Caucus Coordinator and Executive Member.
