No Peace At Ngleshie Amanfro’ – Nii Akramah Nyronmor Bei II

The Head and lawful Representative of the Ngleshie Amanfro Stool, Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II, has reacted to some false information being churned out into the public domain by one Odotobli Nii Kwame Yedu II, who claimed there is peace at Ngleshie Amanfro.

According to Odotobli Nii Kwame Yedu II, this year’s Homowo festival will not be marred by the long-standing dispute between Nii Akramah Mensah, and Nii Kweshie Gborlor IV.
He went ahead to indicate that discussions are ongoing between the two feuding factions being Nii Akramah Nyronmor Bei II and Nii Kweshie Gborlor IV to ensure a peaceful celebration.
However, in an interview with Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II (Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr, father of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale), there is no peace in Ngleshie Amanfro as claimed by Odotobli Nii Kwame Yedu II.
“Nobody has met me, there has not been any discussion for that matter,” he said.
According to Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II, the chieftaincy dispute between the two factions still continues as cases over who is the rightful heir to the Ngleshie Amanfro Stool and who constitute the Ngleshie Amanfro Sool as well as over the ownership of Ngleshie Amanfro lands are before the law Courts.
He cited cases such as Case No. LD/1362/2016 Titled: “Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II & 12 Others Vrs. Humphry Dzartor Botchway a.k.a Kwashie Gborlor IV, ” which is before Justice Edward Bosompem Apenkwa, presiding judge at Lands Court 5 in Accra.
Also, Case No. EI/103/17 pending at the Cape Coast High Court Titled: “Nii Akramah Nyronmor Bei II & 12 Others Vrs. Lands Commission and Humphry Dzartor Botchway.”
Meanwhile, Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II had already secured an Interlocutory judgment against the Lands Commission which orders Humphry Dzartor Botchway to join the pending case.
He explained that until all these cases are adjudicated and judgements given, Ngleshie Amanfro will not see peace.
He charged Odotobli Nii Kwame Yedu II and his boss, Nii Kweshie Gborlor IV (Humphry Dzartor Botchway) to revise their notes, of the many attacks they meted out to innocent people on several occasions in Ngleshie Amanfro whenever he (Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II) organized events.
He recalled an incident in June, where Nii Kwashie Gborlor IV and Odotobli Nii Kwame Yedu II led thugs to attack supporters at the launch of the Shatta movement fan club in Ngleshie Amanfro.
“You see, there is a saying that He who comes into equity must come with clean hands. These are the same people who have been attacking people in the community, causing mayhem during events they knew were organized by me, telling people about peace. I don’t think there is peace here,” he said.
Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II said the Ngleshie Amanfro community still doesn’t recognise Kwashie Gborlor aka Humphry Dzartor Botchway as Chief of the area because of the circumstances surrounding his installation and the acquisition of his Gazette.
Nii Akramah Nyonmor Bei II said he hopes peace prevails in Ngleshie Amanfro in the shortest possible time, trusting that the law Courts before whom the cases are pending will ensure that when they finally give their rulings.
